  17. My current GVP 040-40 board does about 30.5 MIPS according to SysInfo.
  18. Calculate that to 50 MHz and you will get >38 MHz which is very close
  19. to the SysInfo rating of the 060 (how reasonable or vague it may be).
  20. It seems that the sophisticated techniques used in the 060 don't give
  21. it an all too big advantage over the 040 on non-optimized software.
  22. But anyhow there is no 50 MHz 040, the 060-50 doesn't seem  to be
  23. much more expensive than a 040-40, the software situation might
  24. improve in the future and the lower heat production due to 3,3 V
  25. is another plus. I hope it can work with passive or even without
  26. cooling cap? Would be nice to save the noise.

  28. BTW what do you mean by "SysInfo overloads the 060 cache"? It doesn't
  29. happen to be smaller than the 040's, does it?
